Dr Tanja Jelicic is a consultant ear, nose & throat surgeon. She works in the private & public sector managing complex otology & general ORL conditions. General & paediatric Otolaryngology & Head & Neck Surgery, otology & lateral skull base surgery, cochlear implants, microtia & atresia surgery, otoplasty, & balance disorders
Specialist Training
Tanja Jelicic has completed her medical training & post-graduate specialist training in Oto-rhino-laryngology & Head & Neck surgery in Canada. She was awarded fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2019. A second fellowship was undertaken subsequently in otology & neurotology at Auckland City Hospital, where she gained further experience in complex otology surgery including cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids, lateral skull base procedures as well as endoscopic middle ear surgery & laser surgery
Specialist Experience
Tanja is involved in the multi-disciplinary care of microtia/atresia patients at Starship Childrens Hospital. She has recently joined the Northern Cochlear implant program (NCIP) as an implant surgeon. She is actively involved in the teaching & training of medical students and junior doctors, and also lectures at Auckland University
