Botulinum Toxin (Botox) injections
Botulinum toxin (Botox) is a medication that is injected to treat a wide variety of conditions, both cosmetic and functional.
At ENT Associates, Dr David Vokes injects Botox to treat laryngeal and voice problems such as:
- Laryngeal Dystonia (Spasmodic Dysphonia)
- Vocal Tremor
- Arytenoid Granloma (Vocal Process Granuloma)
An EMG (Electromyography) unit is used to ensure that the Botox is injected into the correct area of the larynx.
David also uses Botox to treat other disorders such as:
- Frey's Syndrome (excessive facial sweating after parotid surgery)
- Excessive salivation/Poor salivary control
